As with many of the other regions at the outer edges of the galaxy, traversing Aquila’s Halo can be both a daunting and time consuming prospect. The navigation computer will regularly fail to plot routes across the region, testing even an experienced commanders navigation skills and often resulting in a detour in the direction of the galaxy’s center in order to once more reach out into the region. That is why, at first glance, this survey expedition route appears to meander around Aquila’s Halo. Notable systems can be found in the expedition ranking summary.
The region is expected to have at least one other fleet carrier deployed within it’s boundary. The survey expedition will focus primarily on the part of the region that is furthest from Sol, but will not limit itself to that area if some potential candidate systems cannot be identified.
